Spray by Harry Edge

Descriptive paragraph:
A group of teens sign up for an assassination game on the streets of a big city. Their weapons: pressurized water guns. It's meant to be a game, a sport. But for some, it's more than harmless fun. To win, they'll use any means necessary.
Two hundred players. Three weeks of tense cat-and-mouse action. Every stalker is being stalked and only one player will be left standing. No one will be the same.

I liked this book. The determination of the players amazes me. I like how it was from different players point of view. That was nice. I like how a game makes people go to the extreme. It was an enjoyable read. I have to admit, I didn't love this book. It wasn't for me. But it would be an ideal book for readers with other styles! Give it a try!

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Descriptive paragraph:
Weird as it is working for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, Evie's always thought of herself as normal. Sure, her best friend is a mermaid, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she's falling for a shape-shifter, and she's the only person who can see through paranormals' glamours, but still. Normal.
Only now paranormals are dying, and Evie's dreams are filled with haunting voices and mysterious prophecies. She soon realizes that there may be a link between her abilities and the sudden rash of deaths. Not only that, but she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
     So much for normal.

I loved this book from the very first sentence! It is a thrilling romance/drama between two very paranormal people. This book is sooo cute. Its just the cutest!!! It is one of the best stories I have ever read. Ever. Read it! I may be being a little dramatic but... Your life will not be complete without this book!!!!

The Grimm Legacy by Polly Shulman

Descriptive paragraph:
What if fairy tale magic really existed? Lonely at her new school, Elizabeth takes a job at the New-York Circulating Material Repository, hoping to make new friends as well as some cash. The repository is no ordinary library. It lends out objects rather than books--everything from tea sets and hockey sticks to Marie Antionette's everyday wig.
It's also home to the Grimm Collection, a secret room in the basement. That's where powerful items straight out of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales are locked away: seven-league boots, a table that produces a feast at the blink of an eye, Snow White's step-mother's sinister mirror that talks in riddles and has a will of its own.
When the magical objects start to disappear, Elizabeth and her new friends embark on a dangerous quest to catch the thief before they're accused of the crime themselves--or the thief captures them.

I liked this book from the very beginning! It was an enormously good use of the Brothers Grimm. Including things from those fairy tales made this one even better. I would just love to work at a place with magical items. Who wouldn't? I love this book for idea and word choice. Also the story was just wonderful!!

infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Descriptive  paragraph: At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough, and savvy, Nick and his quick sarcasm are the stuff of legend... until the night his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.
Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil covering a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.
But before Nick can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he's next on the menu.
As if starting hight school isn't hard enough... now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chain saw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?

I loved this book. And everything about it is wonderful! This book was so good I think I read it in one day. I enjoyed the characters, setting, idea. This book made the best day ever! I love everything about this book. I would suggest this to... EVERYBODY! :)

Mistwood by Leah Cypess

Descriptive paragraph: Isabel remembers nothing. Nothing before the prince rode into her forest to take her back to the castle. Nothing about who she is supposed to be, or the powers she is supposed to have.
Prince Rokan needs Isabel to be his Shifter. He needs her ability to shift to animal form, to wind, to mist. He needs her lethal speed and superhuman strength. And he needs her loyalty-- because without it, she may be his greatest threat. Isabel knows that her prince is lying to her, but she can't help wanting to protect him from the dangers and intrigues of the court... until a deadly truth shatters the bond between them.
Now Isabel faces a choice that threatens her loyalty, her heart... and everything she thought she knew.

I liked this book for its characters, word choice, and idea. This book didn't capture me at first. Towards the end I liked it much more. I absolutely loved the relationship between the two main characters (Isabel & Rokan). I would recommend this book to people who like books placed in the days of castles and kings, princes and unlikely girls.

Black Cat by Holly Black

Descriptive paragraph:
"Cassel comes from a family of curse workers- People who have the power to change your emotions, your memories, your luck, by the slightest touch of their hands. And since curse work is illegal, they're all criminals. Many become mobsters and con artists. But not Cassel. He hasn't got any magic, so he's an outsider, the straight kid in a crooked family. You just have to ignore one small detail--- he killed his best friend, Lila, three years ago."

I really liked this book. At first I was not totally loving this book but as I read more I liked it more. Who doesn't love a book with a cat that turns into a girl, a family full of secrets, and a boy who thought he was almost normal??? Its a somewhat quick read. And is absolutely wonderful.
